The City of Philadelphia’s Department of Public Property will soon begin improvements to the Leverington Avenue Shopper’s Parking Lot. The contractor working for the Department of Public Property anticipates beginning construction activities at the lot on Monday, March 6, 2017 at 7:00 AM. The parking lot will be closed to vehicular access throughout certain points during the construction timeline.
Construction crews have begun work to renovate the lot including the repair of existing drainage channels, curbs, sidewalks and asphalt paving. Striping and landscaping as well as the installation of improved lighting will happen toward the end of the project.
The Department of Public Property has recently announced upcoming closures for the Leverington Avenue Parking Lot to complete improvements to the lot. As a courtesy to local business owners and residents the Roxborough Development Corporation has prepared this notice to provide an update on the tentative construction dates and anticipated closures.

The lot will need to be closed to the public, employee's, delivery services, trash pick-up, etc. until all work is completed.
DUMPSTERS, Trash containers, grease barrels etc. TO BE located AND REMAIN in the NEW ENCLOSURE BUILT. All the above is based on weather permitting.
Following completion of the renovations, the Roxborough Development Corporation will assume responsibilities to manage the lot to ensure it is properly maintained and plowed in the winter months. Parking passes will be made available for residents parking in the lot over the 2-hour time limit.
