The RDC is excited to be bringing to Roxborough a summer full of fun with First Fridays and Movie Nights happening June through August! The events will be held at Roxborough Pocket Park, located at 6170 Ridge Avenue. We are collaborating with one of our generous sponsors, New Ridge Brewing Co., who will be serving up refreshing craft beverages to be enjoyed in the park. 

The First Fridays will take place on June 3, July 1, and August 5 from 6pm to 9pm and will feature local musicians that will play a mixture of popular covers and original music. You can plan on hearing a variety of rock & roll, classic hits, new age, blues and country! 

Each band will play from 6:30pm to 8:30pm every First Friday, June through August.  Skip and Chickie  will start out the series on June 3, followed by Two Ripped Jeans on July 1, and then finally Humbleman Band on August 5th. 

Also, the First Fridays will be the perfect time to shop a few local vendors, eat specials from local restaurants, and order up some good eats from a few food trucks. 

Along with First Fridays, Movie Nights are coming to the Roxborough Pocket Park! Each month throughout the summer on select Fridays we will be showing family-friendly films starting at 8:30 pm.

This is something brand new that the RDC is offering and we encourage you to bring out your blankets and portable chairs and pick out a spot to enjoy watching the big screen. The first movie will be The Muppet Movie on June 17 at 8:30pm and then the next two movies are your choice! You get to vote on which movie will play on July 22 and August 19. You can cast your vote here! 

Parking at events is easy too! You can park directly at the Pocket Park at 465 Leverington Avenue  or a block down at  514 Dupont Street. The evening parking rate is $8.
