Yiro Yiro brings fresh, authentic, fast Greek cuisine to Roxborough!
When brothers Dean and Chris Avgiris teamed up with their friends Teddy and Sav Bouikidis (owners of Zesto Pizza and Grill), Roxborough got Yiro Yiro, “a fresh spin on fast Greek.” The restaurant’s concept was developed when the four brothers recognized that they could not find a local source for the authentic food they grew up eating in Greece. So, the brothers opened Yiro Yiro to share their Greek culture and passion for delicious food with the rest of Philly.
With fresh meat delivered from Athens that gets marinated in a family recipe, to the homemade sauces, to the delicious desserts, the food at Yiro Yiro is as authentic as it gets. Their menu is simple and “straight to the point” while still allowing guests to customize their meal. It’s simple: choose to have your meal in a pita or on a plate, then customize it with freshly roasted meats, grilled skewers, fried to order falafel, and a plethora of sides and sauces. The possibilities are endless.
Their familiarity with the Roxborough neighborhood and love for the locals made selecting a home for Yiro Yiro a no brainer. Yiro Yiro provides the neighborhood with a new type of cuisine and it’s very well received. After just opening in October of 2017, Yiro Yiro has quickly become a local favorite.
Similar to the neighborhood that Yiro Yiro planted its roots in, authenticity and family are highly valued. From the family recipes passed down from aunts and grandmas, to the hands that serve you, Yiro Yiro serves authentic Greek cuisine, from their family to yours. While visiting Yiro Yiro, try the most authentic gyro in the city, and be sure to complete your meal with an order of Greek donuts (aka Loukoumades) and opt for the Nutella drizzle. Yiro Yiro is located at 6024 Ridge Avenue and is opened seven days a week from 11AM-10PM. Visit them in person or place an order for pick-up or delivery online at www.yiro-yiro.com.
